More than 1 million antidrug booklets distributed by Scientologists in Cortina Olympics

A nationwide drug prevention campaign in Italy has gone beyond more than one million drug-prevention booklets distributed in just one month. The initiative forms part of the international Truth About Drugs education programme, which aims to provide clear information about commonly abused substances and their risks to young people and communities.

Approximately five hundred volunteers are participating in the outreach effort, distributing materials in schools, businesses and urban centres. The campaign focuses on raising awareness before drug use begins, providing resources designed to explain the dangers of drugs in a clear way.

The prevention effort is part of wider social programmes supported by the Church of Scientology, inspired by the Cortina work of Scientology founder L. Ron Hubbard.
